Specialist online luggage retailer

Our client, an independent online retailer specialising in luggage, sought to expand their storage capacity in their new warehouse facility located in Enfield.

Project Scope

To accommodate the growing demand for their products and sustain their online sales momentum, they needed a storage solution that was both efficient and cost-effective for their new warehouse space.

Solution

Secondhandracking.com installation plan included a blend of new and high-quality, safety-approved used pallet racking sourced from the industry-leading brand, Link51. Complementing this setup was a high-performance Adjustable Pallet Racking (APR) system, providing our client with a total of 636 pallet locations. Additionally, 50 bays of lower-level racking were incorporated to facilitate manual picking of goods.

To ensure the durability of the installed racking and to comply with stringent health and safety standards, Protect-XL rack protection guards were strategically installed on all pallet racking uprights and end-of-row barriers. Given the presence of exposed columns within the warehouse, Protect-It Maxi column guards were deployed to mitigate potential damage from forklifts. The modular design of these guards enabled them to envelop the columns, providing protection heights of 500mm and 1000mm.

The installation process including the rack end protection and individual column protectors, was completed in under 10 working days.
